Quasiconformal methods in analysis and applications

QUAMAP is an ERC Advanced project with four nodes, the University of Aalto, the University of Helsinki, the University Autónoma de Madrid and the CSIC. The project aims to address various problems classified as high risk/high gain. The topics are very diverse, from the calculation of vectorial variations, the non-linear Fourier analysis, the fluid mechanics or the inverse problems.

Research Groups:

Analysis and Geometry with Applications to Inverse Problems

Agapi (love in Greek) is a project coordinated between the University Autónoma of Madrid, the University Politécnica de Madrid and the CSIC, a merger of several previous MTMs. The topics are diverse but the link among them is the interest in inverse problems. Research conferences are regularly organised and named "the AGAPI days".

Geometry and variational analysis with applications to inverse and mechanical problems

AGAVIM is our research group at the University Autónoma de Madrid. As indicated by the acronym, our interest is analysis and geometry applied to inverse and mechanical problems.

ICMAT has achieved its third Severo Ochoa project. These prestigious projects in particular offer master, pre-doctoral (the so-called FPIs) and postdoctoral scholarships.

The Kari Astala laboratory, which I coordinated from 2015 to 2019, hired postdoctoral researchers, organised events and promoted lines of research related to the quasi-conformal world.
