DIRECTIONS

The Workshop takes place at Centro Cultural La Corrala, located at Carlos Arniches St., number 3 and 5 (the building hosts also the Museo de Arte y Tradiciones Populares). Accomodation has been set at Hotel Ibis Budget Madrid Centro Lavapiés, located at Valencia St., number 8 and 10. There is a shorter than 15 minutes walk from one place to the other:

You can then import to this map a pre-saved walking route from the hotel to La Corrala and/or do the usual things you do in Google Maps (zoom in/out, explore the area, find indications to reach the hotel from the airport by public transport and so on).


The simplest way to get to the hotel from Barajas Airport is the following:

• From terminal T4: train (line C1) to Atocha station. Then walk around 15 minutes.
  
• From terminals T1/T2/T3: metro to Nuevos Ministerios (line 8), change to line 10 to Plaza de España and then change to line 3 Lavapies. The hotel is right there.

In any case, it is advisable to consult the webpages Cercanias (train) and Metro (underground) to get information about price tickets, maps and so on.

THE OLD CITY OF MADRID

The conference takes place in a very lively neighbourhood of the city called Lavapiés. There is plenty of information information on the web. Here are some webpages:
