Title: "On the geometry and topology of aspherical compact Kähler manifolds and related questions"
Abstract: As conjectured by Hopf in the 1930s, curvature conditions are expected to restrict the topology of a smooth manifold. I will report on recent progress on various open problems involving aspherical manifolds in the Kähler context, including conjectures of Hopf and Singer and some of their Hodge-theoretic variants. (Joint work with D. Arapura, Y. Liu and B. Wang.)
