The six-functor formalism for rigid motives and applications

ABSTRACT: I will report on some recent developments on homotopy theory for rigid analytic varieties, and more general adic spaces, obtained with J. Ayoub and M. Gallauer. In particular, I will show how it relates to the "classical" motivic homotopy theory of algebraic varieties via the special fiber functor, and how the six functors can be defined via this link. We will sketch how this formalism can be used to produce and study p-adic cohomology theories of analytic varieties.
