ABSTRACT In Arithmetic Geometry, even if one works with topological rings (e.g. some p-adic cohomology groups or adèles), one usually uses homological algebra and K-theory just as plain rings, ignoring the topology. But although not being abelian categories, topological modules are still exact categories and all of homological algebra is available, just a little trickier to compute. I will discuss how the Haar measure, the idèle class group and the relative K-group of the Equivariant Tamagawa Number Conjecture with Noncommutative Coefficients (à la Burns-Flach) all appear in this topologized setting.
